NICHOLASVILLE, Ky. (FOX 56) — The Kentucky Department for Public Health has confirmed a recent measles exposure at a Jessamine County public pool.
According to a notice from the Jessamine County Health Department, if you were at the Riney B Aquatic Center from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. on June 20, you’re at risk for exposure.

Those at risk are encouraged to monitor for the following symptoms, which can emerge seven to 21 days after exposure:
- Fever
- Cough
- Runny nose
- Red eyes
- Rash starting on the face spreading downward
If you develop symptoms, the health department recommends staying home, calling your doctor before going to the clinic, and wearing a mask when seeking care.

You should be protected from measles if any of the following are true:
- You were born before 1957
- You’ve had two measles, mumps, and rubella (MMR) vaccination doses
- You have documented measles immunity (IgG+)
