LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — Our workweek starts stormy, with scattered activity overtaking radar Monday night and into Tuesday afternoon. This will bring a brief break from the oppressive humidity, but by the holiday weekend, the sweltering heat returns.

Scattered storms will roam the area into the night before we catch a few hours of dry time into early Tuesday. Lows bottom out around 70 degrees, and the humidity holds.

Expect more activity into the afternoon with a few strong storms possible. A level 1-of-5 risk for isolated severe wind and hail is in play across southeastern Kentucky.
