GUSTINE — Authorities conducted a coordinated probation sweep in Gustine and neighboring areas Tuesday in response to an uptick in gang-related activity, resulting in three arrests on weapons and probation violation charges.
The Gustine Police Department and Merced County Probation Department teamed up for the June 17 operation, dubbed “Keep Gustine Safe,” executing approximately 12 probation searches throughout the day. The sweep began in the morning and wrapped up by 5 p.m.
