Deadly crashes down in Tennessee ahead of holiday weekend

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Fatal crashes have dropped in Tennessee, according to data from the Tennessee Department of Safety.

There have been 483 traffic fatalities so far this year, compared to 546 this time last year, which is an 11.5% decrease, according to the data. The numbers also show a 13.3% decrease in fatal crashes from 2023 to 2024, with 630 fatal crashes in 2023 year-to-date.
