Cans thrown, brake-checks, and a sideswipe: PSL road rage meltdown lands driver in jail

PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. (CBS12) — A man allegedly hurled aluminum cans at another driver during a road rage encounter Friday night that escalated into a sideswipe crash on Crosstown Parkway.

According to the Port St. Lucie Police Department (PSLPD), 34-year-old Joshua Austin became enraged when a woman ahead of him was driving the speed limit. He allegedly sped past her — only to circle back — repeatedly brake-check her vehicle, and block her from switching lanes…
