MONROE, MI — A 14-year-old was arrested after allegedly driving a stolen vehicle and leading a Monroe County deputy on a chase.
On Saturday, June 28, at 6:45 p.m., Deputy Hunter Chirillo attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a silver Chrysler Town and Country minivan, which had been reported stolen earlier that morning. The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office said the teen failed to pull over and instead fled eastbound on West Seventh Street into the City of Monroe.
The vehicle was briefly chased down several streets in the city before officers with the Monroe Public Safety Department deployed stop sticks.
