EUGENE, Ore. — The University of Oregon’s College of Arts and Sciences is laying off approximately 42 employees as it works to close a $3.65 million budget shortfall in fiscal year 2025.
The cuts affect career faculty, classified staff, officers of administration, and student workers. Graduate employees and tenure-track faculty are not included in the reduction.
