SALEM, Ore. – While Oregon lawmakers failed to pass a transportation bill, many bills were passed in Salem this long legislative session.
A historic consumer protection package made up some of the new bills recently signed in to law.
To fight utility price hikes, the Fair Energy Act overhauls the rate-setting process for gas and electric bills, while the Fan Fairness Act cracked down on fraud and price gouging for event tickets.
