Seven arrested, 10 guns seized after Troy weapon investigation

TROY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — The Troy Police Department announced on Tuesday that several arrests were made last week after a firearm investigation. Seven people are facing felony charges.

On June 25, Troy Police’s Emergency Response Team alongside Albany Police’s Emergency Services Team executed a court-ordered search warrant at a home on Glen Avenue in connection to an ongoing investigation into weapon activity in the area. During the search, officers found 10 handguns in the residence, which were reportedly owned illegally, as well as packages containing fentanyl and cannabis.

The house’s seven occupants were all taken into custody at the scene without incident. They now face the following charges:

Nikki Brate, 34, of Troy

  • Second-degree criminal possession of a weapon
  • Criminal possession of a firearm

Che Omar Bland, 44, of Schenectady

  • Second-degree criminal possession of a weapon
  • Criminal possession of a firearm
  • Criminal possession of a controlled substance

Robert Bacon, 39, of Troy

  • Second-degree criminal possession of a weapon

Connor Ingraham, 18, of Troy

  • Second-degree criminal possession of a weapon
  • Criminal possession of a firearm
  • Criminal possession of a controlled substance

Justice Walker, 19, of Troy

  • Second-degree criminal possession of a weapon

Samir Rorie, 18, of Troy

  • Second-degree criminal possession of a weapon

Alexus Hargrove, 26, of Troy

  • Second-degree criminal possession of a weapon

All seven defendants were held at the Rensselaer County Jail after being arraigned at Troy City Court. Each case will be prosecuted by the Rensselaer County District Attorney’s Office.
