BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A man convicted of driving drunk in a deadly rollover crash on East Belle Terrace was sentenced Tuesday to nine years in prison.
Cristian Escobar-Rodriguez, 31, was found guilty in May of all charges against him, including gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated. Prosecutors say his blood-alcohol content was measured at 0.15%.
Before sentencing, the father of 30-year-old Andrea Navarro, who died in the crash, asked the court to impose a lengthy sentence. He said his daughter’s death could have been avoided. He said he and his wife are struggling to carry on, all they can do is pray for strength…
