LOWCOUNTRY, S.C. (WCIV) — Before Lowcountry residents hit the firework stand this Friday to celebrate the 4th of July, it’s important to remember the can and can’t do’s of fireworks in South Carolina.
Statewide, no one under the age of 16 can purchase fireworks, and individuals are not allowed to make, store, transport, or possess fireworks containing pyrotechnic composition “in excess of two grains”, which is used to create loud effects.
Those forbidden fireworks include items like “ground salutes”, “cherry bombs”, M-80s, TNT salutes, and “bulldog salutes”…
