WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — A Winston-Salem animal rescue has taken in nearly 200 dogs that were recently taken from a Davidson County puppy mill.
According to the Animal CARE Foundation, a total of 177 dogs were rescued from the puppy mill. In June, Roger and Robin McClean were charged with multiple counts of animal cruelty at the conclusion of a Davidson County Sheriff’s Office investigation that started in December 2024.
According to the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office, the McLeans were charged with 40 counts of animal cruelty and were sentenced to two years of probation. They are not allowed to possess animals during their probation period…
