MEMPHIS, Tenn. – A firefighter with the Memphis Fire Department (MFD) cited for crashing an ambulance over the weekend was arrested following the collision for an unrelated warrant, police said.
Trevon Crawford, 34, was identified by Memphis Police (MPD) as the ambulance driver who ran a red light on Germantown Parkway at Varnavas Road that led to a wreck with a with a car. The crash was reported just before 8:30 p.m. Sunday.
A MPD officer on scene ran a background check on Crawford and found that he had a warrant out for his arrest. An arrest affidavit shows that Crawford admitted to stealing at a Germantown Kroger in February, then skipped court a couple months later…
