Orlando Fire’s ‘Burn Bright’ workshop encourages young women to learn about firefighting

ORLANDO, Fla. — A new empowerment workshop created by the Orlando Fire Department is teaching girls some of the training it takes to become a firefighter or EMT paramedic.

The program, called Burn Bright, was held this weekend at the Valencia College Central Florida Fire Academy for young women 14 to 20 years old.
