An Auburn man could spend decades behind bars after admitting to traveling across multiple states to engage in sexual activity with a minor. According to WSYR, Kyle Samsel of Auburn pleaded guilty in federal court to one count of sexually exploiting a child.
The 35-year-old was charged for an incident in October 2020, when he crossed state lines to meet the minor. The plea was entered before Judge Susan Paradise Baxter in Erie, Pennsylvania. Samsel now faces up to 30 years in prison and a $250,000 fine, depending on the severity of the case and his criminal history.
The investigation was led by the FBI with assistance from state and local police in Pennsylvania, Ohio, and New York. Sentencing is scheduled for November 13, 2025…
