CHICAGO (WGN) — Free health screenings were offered citywide this afternoon as part of an initiative to reach more Chicagoans.
“We need to know what’s going on with our bodies and free health fairs like these are what’s going to keep us alive,” Carolyn Smith said.
Smith was a participant in the health clinic held inside Roseland’s Missionary Baptist Church on Sunday. An annual event that’s grown from seven participating local churches last year to 15 this year, the clinic is a partnership with the nationwide First Ladies Health Initiative, which offers communities a number of health screenings and immunizations completely free…
