Family of second injured officer in TTU shooting asks for support

LUBBOCK, Texas — The wife of Officer Levi Ridley, the second officer shot and injured at Texas Tech University on June 24, has set up a GoFundMe to help with expenses as he recovers.

The GoFundMe stated Officer Ridley was home now, but donations will help prepare for medical bills, counseling and time off work. Emma Ridley said the GoFundMe me will be the only place donations are being accepted.

Previous reports by EverythingLubbock.com said on Tuesday, June 24, at 12:45 a.m., the Texas Tech Police Department (TTPD) checked on a suspicious vehicle near Jones AT&T Stadium. Texas Tech Police Chief Kyle Bonath said a truck had its door open and was not in a normal parking spot.
