North Little Rock police identify victim in Sunday evening shooting

NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Officials with the North Little Rock Police Department have identified the victim who died Sunday night in what police say was a murder-suicide.

According to NLRPD, officers responded to a shots fired call at a home Sunday night in the 200 block of Prairie View Drive. Police said they heard a single gun shot from inside the home when they arrived; after entering the home they found two men suffering from gunshot wounds.

Police said that 36-year-old Timothy Gooden and 24-year-old Darius Tyler both died at the scene. Officials said that the two men were cousins who lived together at the home.

After beginning an investigation, detectives revealed that they believe Gooden’s death was a homicide and Tyler died after killing himself…
