MADISON, Wis. — A bathroom fan appears to be to blame for a fire Monday night at Whiskey Jack’s in downtown Madison, a fire department spokesperson said.
The fire was reported at around 11:40 p.m. at the bar at 556 State Street. There were no signs of smoke or fire from the State Street side of the building when crews arrived, but a security guard reported fire in the building.
Firefighters were directed to the women’s restroom, where smoke was visible but there was no active fire. The security guard had used a dry chemical extinguisher to suppress the fire before MFD crews arrived…
