New Braunfels teens charged after vandalizing popular city park

A spray-painted mystery at this New Braunfels park did not stay unsolved for long. A graffiti incident at the City of New Braunfels Skatepark within Ernest Eikel Park in early June has led to the arrest of four teenagers, according to city officials.

Officers began investigating after the vandalism was reported on June 8. Surveillance cameras at the park were key to the investigation, helping officers quickly develop leads. By combining the footage with other technology, investigators were able to identify those responsible and close the case swiftly.

The four juveniles, ranging in age from 14 to 16, have each been charged with graffiti offense (a pecuniary loss $100-$750), a Class B misdemeanor.
