A woman is accused of recklessly causing severe injuries to a 2-year-old girl in her care — and lying to cover up what happened, according to police.
Sanjuanita Garcia Herrera, 47, was arrested last Tuesday and charged with reckless injury to a child, causing serious bodily injury, a second-degree felony, according to court records. She posted a $50,000 bond and was released the same day.
