12:30 p.m. Update: Chances are increasing that a cluster of showers and weak storms may move into the San Antonio metro area later this evening. The activity is in association with the remnants of Tropical Storm Barry, which made landfall in eastern Mexico on Sunday evening.
San Antonio’s best chance of rain on Tuesday will come between 6 and 9 p.m. Most of the activity will only bring light rainfall, but a few embedded weak thunderstorms could bring brief periods of heavy rain. Not everyone will experience rainfall, but San Antonio’s overall rain chances have increased to around 40 to 50%.
Total rainfall is expected to be light, with totals generally staying under a quarter-inch.
San Antonio’s first day of July weather on Tuesday will include a bit of Saharan dust, possibly some peripheral moisture from a defunct tropical storm, and peak temperatures surprisingly lower than normal for this time of year…
