DC man sentenced to 7 years in prison for distributing crack cocaine, owning firearms

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — A D.C. man was sentenced to seven years in prison for distributing crack cocaine and owning several firearms Tuesday, the U.S. Attorney’s Office (USAO) for the District of Columbia said.

The USAO said that 57-year-old Freddie Lee Hall was sentenced to 84 months in prison, followed by five years of supervised release. He had pleaded guilty to possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime on Feb. 13.

Court documents state that surveillance cameras captured Hall 13 separate times in 2024 as he sold cocaine base. Officials say that in total, Hall sold over three-quarters of a kilogram to an informant who was working with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) Washington Field Division.
