Man arrested, charged after attempted bank robbery in Alexandria, police say

ALEXANDRIA, Va. (DC News Now) — Alexandria police said a man who tried to rob a bank last month was arrested and charged.

On Tuesday, June 24, at around 9:30 a.m., officers with the Alexandria Police Department (APD) responded to the M&T Bank, located at 833 S. Washington St., for reports of a bank robbery in progress.

Alexandria police investigating stabbing, shooting

The suspect reportedly went into the bank with a threatening note, demanding money. He then ran away before he got any cash.

Later that day, he was arrested in Prince George’s County, Md., for a separate bank robbery…
