Jennifer Aniston is adding another Apple TV+ project to her repertoire, moving beyond her role on “The Morning Show.” The streaming service announced Tuesday that Aniston will star in a new series adapted from Jennette McCurdy’s poignant memoir, “I’m Glad My Mom Died.”

The series, described by Apple TV+ as a dramedy, will explore the complex, codependent relationship between a young actress on a popular children’s show and her narcissistic mother. Aniston will play the mother, a woman who revels in the reflected glory of her daughter’s stardom.

McCurdy, known for her role as Sam Puckett on Nickelodeon’s “iCarly,” penned the bestselling memoir which chronicles her challenging experiences as a child actor. The book spent over 80 weeks on the New York Times bestseller list.

McCurdy will write, produce, and serve as showrunner for the upcoming series, partnering with Ari Katcher. Aniston will also take on an executive producer role. She currently stars in and produces “The Morning Show,” which returns for its fourth season on September 17th.
