Charleston Animal Society urges pet owners to prepare ahead of Fourth of July

BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – As Fourth of July celebrations approach, Lowcountry animal shelters are urging pet owners to take precautions to keep their animals safe.

Each year, shelters across the country, including those here in the Lowcountry, report a spike in lost or injured pets following fireworks shows, cookouts, and other holiday festivities.
