Teller hit in the head with ax after handing over cash in Southfield PNC bank robbery, suspect in custody

SOUTHFIELD (WWJ) — Southfield Police have arrested a man accused of robbing a PNC bank branch while armed with an ax, and assaulting a teller.

Reporting from the scene at bank on Northwestern Highway near Franklin Road, WWJ’s Darrylin Horne said bank employees were gathered outside and appeared shaken after the incident.
