Erie City Moms transforms blighted house to for home ownership program

Erie City Moms has transformed a blighted property on East 10th Street into a homeownership program for local mothers, providing them with education and financial savings to achieve homeownership.

The program, spearheaded by Erie City Moms, allows participating mothers to save approximately $10,000 while receiving the necessary education to purchase their own homes in Erie County. The initiative is part of a broader effort to provide long-term housing stability for mothers and their families.

“To see in all of its stages to walk alongside the volunteers in all of their hard work… helping this vision come to fruition for women and families that they don’t even know,” said Amanda Burlingham, founder and executive director of Erie City Moms.
