CUMBERLAND, Ind. (WISH) — Coroners have ruled the death of a 12-year-old boy who died in an accidental shooting in Cumberland as a homicide after finding no possible way for him to have shot himself.

The Cumberland Metropolitan Police Department says the shooting happened shortly before 1 a.m. Friday at a home in the 11500 block of Dunshire Drive.

Upon arrival, officers found 12-year-old Jeremiah Cotton suffering a gunshot wound. He was taken to Riley Hospital for Children in “very critical condition,” but later died…
