Pennsylvania state trooper charged with abusing infant

PENNSYLVANIA (WTAJ) — A state trooper is facing charges after he hurt an infant and left them with head trauma, according to Attorney General Dave Sunday.

Christopher S. Young, 35, of Lancaster County, who was previously charged with intimidating a witness in the child abuse investigation, is now facing new charges. These new charges come after an investigation was conducted by the Pennsylvania State Police Bureau of Integrity and Professional Standards.

During the investigation, it was learned that in September 2023, the child, along with two other children, was in Young’s care. The infant was injured during that time, and the injury required medical intervention and physical therapy.

According to a release, the investigation also showed that there was a pattern of abuse by Young. A witness also told police that Young had firearms that were accessible to the children and had allowed a child to hold a firearm…
