Tragedy struck early Friday morning in Gatlinburg as a head-on collision resulted in the death of one driver, the Tennessee Highway Patrol reported to WVLT. At approximately 5:53 a.m., 43-year-old Thomas Largent was behind the wheel of a 2001 Toyota Tundra traveling east on East Parkway when his vehicle crossed into the opposing lane, colliding with a commercial truck.
As reported by WATE, following the collision, both the Tundra and the commercial vehicle, identified as a Kenworth 2NK, came to rest in the south-side ditch near 4857 East Parkway, and unfortunately, Largent was confirmed dead at the scene, Fredrick Reed who was driving the commercial truck was not injured, and no charges are pending against him THP clarified…
