LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Louisville Mayor Craig Greenberg and the Mayor’s Office of Sustainability is urging the community to reduce single-use plastic waste with a new initiative.
The “Plastic Free July,” campaign encourages residents, businesses and organizations to swap out disposable plastic items in favor or reusable, sustainable alternatives.
“Sustainability is one of our greatest responsibilities,” Mayor Greenberg said at the launch event on Tuesday. “Each of us can start making conscious choices to reduce our use of disposable plastics.
