2 Shelbyville men convicted on federal drug trafficking, gun charges

KENTUCKY, USA — A federal grand jury has convicted two Shelbyville men of drug trafficking and firearms offenses, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office – Western District of Kentucky.

Benjamin Quintero Martinez, 31, and Rodolfo Reyes Martinez, 27, were found guilty of possessing fentanyl, methamphetamine, and cocaine with intent to distribute, as well as illegally possessing firearms to further their drug trafficking activities. Both men are convicted felons and prohibited from owning firearms.

According to court documents and evidence presented at trial, on December 15, 2022, both men were found in possession of more than 1 kilogram of fentanyl – including a pill press used to manufacture counterfeit pills – more than 200 grams of meth and more than 200 grams of cocaine.
