NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – Police officers at some departments across Middle Tennessee are getting pay raises this summer. Some residents hope the increases will help departments recruit more officers to keep cities safer.
Nashville residents say safety is a priority in the fast-growing city. However, the Metro Nashville Police Department is understaffed by 162 officers right now.
