Maryland man caught after selling more than 800 fentanyl-laced pills to undercover officer

PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY, Md. (7News) — A man from Prince George’s County was sentenced on Tuesday to 10 years in federal prison for trafficking fentanyl, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office of the District of Maryland.

Amos Oluremi Nureni, 43, was charged with conspiracy to distribute 40 grams or more of fentanyl and possession of a firearm.

Homeland Security Investigations and the Drug Enforcement Agency launched an investigation into Nureni in September 2023. At that time, law enforcement conducted two controlled purchases where an undercover officer met up with Nureni. Nureni then sold the officer between 400 to 500 pills, the U.S. Attorney’s Office said…
