‘The moneymaker’: This might be Staten Island’s most controversial speed camera

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y.— The speed camera at Goethals Road North and Jules Drive in Graniteville might be one of the more infamous on Staten Island.

The camera is located off exit 6 of the Staten Island Expressway right in front of the Staten Island School of Civic Leadership, catching drivers as they transition from highway speeds of around 50 MPH or more, onto the service road that has a posted limit of 30 MPH.
