The Indianola Police Department is asking residents to follow the city ordinance regarding available times to light fireworks this 4th of July holiday, set for July 3rd from 9am to 10pm and July 4th from 9am to 11pm. Indianola Police Chief Brian Sher tells KNIA News those lighting fireworks off often impact more residents than they take into account.
“We have a lot of vets that served our country. They can plan for the dates and times allowed. They can plan to not be at home, they can make other arrangements to not be around fireworks. What they can’t plan for is times outside the lawful times you can use fireworks. So let’s be real considerate of our vets, thank them for what they’ve done for us, and not make them have any issues during this time.”…
