Lincoln police seek public’s help in two separate shooting investigations

LINCOLN, Neb. — The Lincoln Police Department is seeking assistance from the public in solving two separate shooting incidents that occurred in the city.

On June 29, 2025, a 38-year-old Lincoln man reported being shot in the leg while leaving a business near North 27th and Theresa Streets around 2:30 a.m. The man said he heard a series of gunshots and, while attempting to flee, fell and realized he had been shot. He was transported to a hospital by private vehicle with non-life-threatening injuries. The investigation into this incident is ongoing, and no arrests have been made.

In a separate incident on June 27, officers responded to a shooting at a business near 28th and O Streets at approximately 2:14 a.m. Upon arrival, officers found a 39-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his leg. Officers provided immediate medical aid, and the victim was later taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. This case also remains under investigation, with no arrests reported…
