Plano Police Bust Luxury Car Theft Ring, Recover $1.5M in Vehicles

What began with the theft of a Rolls-Royce Spectre from a restaurant valet stand in Plano escalated into a major multi-agency investigation, culminating in the recovery of six high-end stolen vehicles and three arrests.

The investigation kicked off on June 6, when Plano Police Auto Theft Detectives began looking into the Rolls-Royce theft. Utilizing surveillance footage and their investigative skills, detectives identified a suspect vehicle—a 2025 Mercedes S63 AMG—which was already on the radar of the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS).

On June 11, Plano detectives, working in collaboration with Texas DPS, the Dallas Police Department, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), executed search warrants at two linked residences. The operation yielded significant results: six stolen luxury vehicles were recovered, with an estimated total value of nearly $1.5 million. The recovered vehicles included a Rolls-Royce Spectre, Rolls-Royce Cullinan, Cadillac Escalade-V, Maserati Levante, and an Audi RS7.
