Rockford police identify driver in hit-and-run that hurt 15-year-old

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — Rockford Police have announced the arrest of a suspect in a hit-and-run that injured a 15-year-old cyclist on N. 2nd Street last month.

Police said the incident happened around 6 p.m. on Friday, June 20th.

Video of the crash was captured on surveillance cameras at a nearby business, showing the driver of a blue sedan running a stoplight and hitting 15-year-old Alice Hunt as she crossed the intersection at N. 2nd and Ethel Avenue.

Hunt suffered a fractured tibia in the crash and needed stitches to her right arm…
