Trees, power lines still down morning after severe weather in Springfield

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) – High winds and rain blew through Springfield Sunday evening, leaving many homes and businesses without power.

Monday morning, some large trees remained down on the roads like S. Broadway Ave. near Horace Mann Elementary. It was a similar story for powerlines as 25,000 people were without power as of 4 a.m. according to City Utilities. Crews are working on restoring power and removing debris.
