BOISE — Three years after Caldwell Fire Deputy Chief Brad Trosky-Johnson died unexpectedly at age 55, his name was unveiled on the Idaho Fallen Firefighters Memorial on Monday.
Trosky-Johnson died June 25, 2022 at West Valley Medical Center after experiencing a sudden medical emergency the day before at his home. This February, his death was ruled by the Department of Justice — Public Safety Officers’ Benefit (PSOB) Office as having been in the line of duty.
“The Idaho Fallen Firefighters’ Memorial is hallowed ground. It’s where we come to reflect, to grieve and to honor. But more than that, it’s where we remember,” the Caldwell Fire Department’s new chief, Bryan Daniels, said before the unveiling. “Every name etched into this monument represents a life lived in service, a sacrifice made on behalf of others and a legacy that continues far beyond the last call.”…
