Spokane prepares for Independence Day closures and service changes

SPOKANE, Wash. — Independence Day is this Friday and many facilities will be closed in Spokane in observance of the holiday.

On Friday, July 4, the city says City Hall and other city facilities will be closed. Garbage, recycling and food and yard waste services will be a day late, meaning normal Friday services will take place instead on Saturday.

All Spokane Public Library locations, the Spokane Municipal Court, Community Justice Services and the city’s aquatic centers will also be closed…
