Couple charged with removing memorial accept plea

COLONIE, N.Y. (WNYT)- Jim Morrell and his wife Megan accepted a plea deal in Colonie Town Court after being charged with taking down a roadside memorial for U.S. Marine Nicholas Camilli, who died in a crash in October 2023.

The Morrell’s were caught on video removing the memorial at least three times. They are related to the man who hit Camilli.

The couple was initially charged with petit larceny as part of the plea, but agreed to plead guilty to disorderly conduct…
