Baltimore fire chief warns residents: Fireworks are illegal in city limits

BALTIMORE (WBFF) — As July 4th nears, Baltimore City Fire Chief James Wallace is urging residents and visitors to remember that personal fireworks are banned within the city.

“All consumer fireworks—including sparklers, firecrackers, and Roman candles—are banned in Baltimore City,” said Chief Wallace. “While these items may be legally purchased in surrounding counties or online, their possession, use, or sale in Baltimore is illegal and dangerous.”

City law prohibits the possession, manufacture, storage, sale, handling, and use of fireworks, with violations potentially leading to fines, confiscation, or other penalties…
