Three-year-old child drowns in North Charleston pond, investigation underway

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) — A child died in a drowning incident in North Charleston on Tuesday, according to the Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office.

The statement from the sheriff’s office states that shortly after 7 p.m. deputies responded to the 8100 block of Windsor Hill Boulevard in response to a report of a missing three-year-old child.

They state that the child was found a short time later in a neighborhood pond. A good Samaritan reportedly entered the pond and removed the child from the water as deputies arrived on scene…
