LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — With the Fourth of July coming up at the end of the week, you’ve probably started to hear fireworks popping up across the area and most likely in your neighborhood.
Last year, on Weather Wednesday, we discussed the chemistry of fireworks and how each colorful pop has an element related to it.
This year, we will be discussing the perfect weather conditions needed for fireworks to go off without a hitch and how different conditions can impact the colors and environment of the show.
You might remember last year when we said that fireworks needed “not too much of this element or not enough of that element” to launch? Well, the same can be said about the weather conditions. I like to call it the Goldilocks weather conditions when it is “it’s not too hot, not too cold, but just right” to launch and have a great fireworks show.
