MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW) — Skies are cloudier this morning, but temperatures remain unchanged in the mid-to-upper 70s. A cold front has entered the Upstate of South Carolina and will continue to push east. The cold front doesn’t look to move offshore until the weekend. This will keep spotty rain chances around for the rest of the workweek and upcoming weekend.
Scattered storms will roll through multiple times throughout the day. Thankfully, severe weather is not expected, but we are anticipating heavy rain and lightning periodically. High temperatures will be below average in the Pee Dee due to clouds and rain, with peaks in the mid-80s. The Grand Strand will be in the mid-80s, too.
We’ll see partly cloudy skies tonight and for the rest of the workweek. Thunderstorms will be diurnally driven, meaning rain is most likely in the afternoon in conjunction with the hottest temperatures of the day and the sea breeze…
