In a targeted strike against drug-related crime, the Dallas Police Department’s Special Investigations Division (SID) conducted a significant operation, leading to substantial drug seizures and an arrest in a local neighborhood. According to the Dallas Police Department, the operation unfolded on June 17, with Dallas SWAT executing search warrants on Aspen Drive.
Both residences, located in the 2100 and 2200 blocks of Aspen Drive, were identified as part of a larger investigation into drug houses in the area. The bust yielded a considerable haul of drugs, including 3,104.8 grams of marijuana, 698.4 grams of cocaine, and 154.9 grams of methamphetamines, to name a few of the substances found. Also recovered were a 9MM handgun and $400 in cash. Assistant Chief Catrina M. Shead emphasized the department’s commitment, saying, as per the Dallas Police Department, “We are devoted to ridding our neighborhoods of violent crime and dangerous drugs.”
31-year-old Deshyne Williams was arrested at the scene. According to the Dallas Police Department, Williams has been charged with Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance and a Parole Violation for prior similar offenses.
