NE expands access to naloxone with grab-n-go sites

LINCOLN, Neb. — The Nebraska Pharmacists Association (NPA), in collaboration with Region 5 Systems and funded through Opioid Settlement funds, has expanded access to lifesaving naloxone by installing their third vending machine at The Bridge Behavioral Health in Lincoln.

“We were so excited last year to place the first vending machine in the state of Nebraska,” said Amy Holman, Project Manager at the NPA.

Currently, Lincoln hosts three vending machines, with additional “Grab-N-Go” access sites in Lincoln and Jansen. The NPA is working with health departments in the Region 5 area, including Four Corners Health Department, Southeast District Health Department and Public Health Solutions, to distribute Narcan and improve access in rural communities…
